Safeguarding policy summary

A plain summary of how we handle this area. A full policy document is available on request.

Our commitment

Every child at Decorum has the right to be safe, to be heard, and to be treated with dignity. Safeguarding is the responsibility of every team member, led by our designated safeguarding lead and their deputy.

Training and supervision

All team members complete safeguarding training at induction and regularly afterwards, with reflective supervision supporting their practice in between.

Reporting

Any concern about a child is recorded, acted on, and shared with the placing authority and other agencies as appropriate. Team members are supported and expected to raise concerns.

External scrutiny

Regulation 44 independent visits and Regulation 45 quality of care reviews are welcomed and acted on. Young people have private, independent routes to Ofsted, their social worker, and advocacy services.

Full policy

The full policy is available on request to placing authorities, inspectors, and professionals working with our young people. Email info@decorumcarehomes.co.uk.
